Hon Nara Uru Hodo
本なら売るほど
A secondhand bookshop called Jūgatsudō, its customers, and the connections a single book can create. It won the 19th Manga Taishō in 2026.
What is it about?
A young man runs a used bookstore that draws all kinds of visitors: regulars who love reading, a high school girl, a widow selling her late husband's books. Each chapter is a complete story, and people who lead one chapter often reappear as side characters in another, so the cast slowly grows into a web around the shop.
How it started
It first ran as a one-shot titled Hon o Sōsōru in the seinen magazine Harta in October 2022, then began serialization in the same magazine in September 2023. It has no official English title yet; the literal meaning is roughly "Books Aplenty".
Who will like it
Anyone who enjoys bookshops and quiet, self-contained stories you can read one chapter at a time.
